Our Story

Founder Dan McBride with Father Rick McBride

FOR MY DAD, MY HERO, AND ALL OUR FIRST RESPONDERS.

Thinline Anthem was founded on one simple principle, to assist you (our First Responders) with your overall mental and physical health so that you can take care of yourself, your family, fellow first responders and the communities we serve.

Growing up in a First Responder family, thanks to my dad who became a Firefighter before I was even born (Now a Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Commissioner 38 years on!), I’ve always understood the dangers and uncertainty surrounding the job of a real-life hero.

When a member of your family is involved in any part of public safety, the whole family is. My dad's dedication to duty eventually led me to follow in his footsteps, starting out as a Volunteer Firefighter and eventually entering into Law Enforcement as a Corrections Officer with Homeland Security and Juvenile Detention with Chelan County.

Thinline Anthem found its start when working as a First Responder and fully understanding the multitude of struggles a First Responder goes through, such as long shifts, lack of energy and overall mental exhaustion.

I found out first hand how easy it was to become trapped in the never ending cycle of unhealthy habits like lack of sleep, too much junk food and an unhealthy addiction to energy drinks.

Far too often our health finds its way of taking a back seat while we focus much of our time and energy helping those around us before thinking of ourselves which sooner or later catches up to all of us.

It caught up to me and I found myself on the fast track of hitting rock bottom.

I enrolled myself into counseling and was diagnosed with PTSD in 2015, my counselors specialized in trauma and got me to focus on getting myself back in line with healthy habits like sleep, working out, eating right and taking vitamins.

It was at this time after doing research that I realized there was absolutely nothing on the market made specifically for us First Responders!

It was time to change that and I was determined to create natural & healthy vitamins and supplements that focus on first responders mental and physical health.

After years of research, Thinline Anthem and Reload came into existence, Reload was designed and formulated to be the all in one supplement that assists First Responders with all of our main needs like focus & memory, heart, lungs, stomach, mood and overall health!

Sleep was another main focus point, after working years of mandatory overtime (12-16 hour shifts) 5-6 days a week I found myself never sleeping and I knew I wasn’t the only FR who struggles with getting that deep restful sleep without feeling groggy the next day like NyQuil, Tylenol PM etc. did to me. Night Shift was then formulated to not only help with getting the sleep we all crave and deserve but to also assist with anxiety and stress.

Every new product we bring to market comes from the suggestions of thousands of first responders who tell us what they need to help them get to peak performance mentally and physically. Thinline Anthem staff also test all products before bringing them to market!

Mental health has been a major focus with this brand especially after personally struggling with it for years.

So, not only do we create products with you in mind, but we give back to non-profit organizations like Next Rung & Blue H.E.L.P.  that focus on our First Responder mental health by providing peer support and counseling services to those in need. We are here to help them end the stigma and assist any and all First Responders in need!

We also give back to the fallen and their families by donating to Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Check out what we have to offer, and if you don’t see something you are looking for let us know! You might just see it as one of our new products!
